What is the Imagination?
Imagination is the ability to form a mental image of something or someone that is not perceived through the five senses. It is the ability of the mind to build mental scenes, objects, or events that do not exist, are not present, or have happened in the past.
Could it be possible that the imagination is more than this? Is it possible that we have yet to understand the true potentials of our imagination?
Let’s see what we can uncover through some ancient texts.
There was a Jewish story of a man that was told by the Infinite Mind to, “Go to the potter’s house. There I will give you my message.” So this Jewish man went to the potter’s house, and he was working there at his wheel. Whenever a clay pot he was working on was ruined, he would rework it into a new clay pot the way he wanted to make it.
This is remarkable that this Jewish character is about to receive a special message from the Infinite Consciousness. He is ordered by the Universal Consciousness that in order to receive such a message, he must first go to the potter’s house. As the Jewish man arrives there, he sees the potter at the wheel working on his intended idea that he has for the clay pot. The potter’s work became ruined causing the potter to continue to rework the clay pot until it matched the exact likeness of his original intended idea.
It is incredible what is being said here!! But first, we must take a deeper look at the language used by the writer: it’s almost parabolic and very anagogical.
In Hebrew, the word for the potter is “yatsar” used interchangeably often with “yetser.” Both words mean a form, a frame, or imagination. This is an amazing revelation and usage of the word imagination.
So, in other words, the Jewish man is told by the Infinite Mind to go to the house of the Imagination, a sacred Imaginarium where He will give him a special message. Yes, Infinite Mind gives us sacred messages all the time on an ongoing basis, but we must obey this command and learn how to go into the imagination to receive them.
Our imagination is our direct link to infinite states of Consciousness and the Infinite Mind itself. This is where we work out our thoughts, even the thoughts that have ruined us. We continue to rework our thoughts and rework our thoughts until they match the exact likeness of our original intended idea or will for our lives and situations.
We are called to take the special messages, which are words, sacred vibrations, and work our thoughts into submission to take hold of the imagination that allows us to flow through infinite states of consciousness. This is utterly remarkable.
There is another Jewish parable that states, “And yet, Oh I AM, you are our Father. We are the clay and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand.”
Here we have another amazing new claim, “The state of I AM is the Potter and we are the clay.” In other words, Infinite Mind – the Great I Am – reveals in this Jewish story that it is the imagination and we are the physical framing of His thoughts, the figments of this Infinite Almighty Imagination.
Our minds are a literal fragmented piece of the I Am’s mind and since our thoughts are a product of our mind, it follows that our thought power too is limitless.
Our imagination has no end because the very premise of our imagination is a deep link to the Infinite Mind itself. This ancient Jewish text and kabbalistic interpretation say that God dwells within us and that we fail to test the way He dwells within us. The one who is sovereign over the entire universe is all-powerful, all-knowing, all creative and present everywhere at the same time and is within us. He dwells in the infinite eternal part of man, the part that sees the unseen and relates to and believes the impossible, the Imagination.
We are told to take the test to see if we really recognize and believe that godhood dwells within us. Do we truly believe that He has all power and authority in heaven and in the earth and He dwells within us?
Once we truly believe this and understand that only the forces of the universe know all the depths and secrets of divinity and that we have this magic force and that magic power is within us, will we have found the only true source of infinite power for which nothing is impossible and impossible is nothing?
The power of the imagination activates in our lives as we start to believe that godhood literally dwells within us.
Our Imagination is alive: The power of imagination is incredible. Every time we think, we are emitting a unique electro-magnetic frequency into the atmosphere. It´s a vibration – a personal vibration that speaks forth a divinely-infused creative power that WILL shape our lives and all that’s within them.
We must be very careful with how we think because our lives are shaped by our thoughts. Let’s become more watchful of how we think because our thoughts are the very building blocks of our lives.
The most potent form of energy is thought because thought waves penetrate all time and space. Since the power of thought is a very potent form of energy and penetrates all time and space, we need to be aware of what we think, and ever more cautious of what we imagine. What precautionary steps can we put into practice to avoid shaping and molding a less desirous life?
We are to imitate our higher powers – they are the potters. According to the Jewish story, the potter (Infinite mind/I Am) sits at His wheel and works continuously on the ruined clay pot until it matches what is intended in its imagination for it to be. We are to imitate those higher powers and we must learn to enter the potter’s house, our own Heavenly Imaginarium. We must focus on the end idea and original intentions of our desired outcomes and rework our thoughts until they agree with our expected end. When life throws us circumstances that oppose our desired outcomes, we must go into our Heavenly Imaginarium and rework over and over in our imagination scenes and mental dramas that agree with our desired end. We must CONTINUE in these efforts until they surface in our actual lives.
For example:
– You fail to meet your quota at work. What we normally tend to do is continually repeat mental dramas in our imagination that relate to our work-related failures. These thoughts will most assuredly shape a reality that will assimilate more failures in your work life. Instead, go into your Heavenly Imaginarium and construct mental dramas and scenarios in your imagination that assimilate you meeting all your work-related goals. Continue to do this over and over until you FEEL within yourself that you have already attained your expected end. Repeat this practice over and over in your potter’s house until this reality takes place in your actual life.
– You’re frustrated with your significant other due to a lack of communication or a misunderstanding. What we normally tend to do is continually repeat over and over mental dramas in our imagination that relates to our miscommunication or misunderstanding. These thoughts will most assuredly shape a reality that will assimilate more discord between you and your significant other. Instead, go into your Heavenly Imaginarium and construct mental dramas and scenarios in your imagination that assimilate great communication and understanding between you and your significant other. Continue to do this over and over until you FEEL within yourself that you have already attained your desired outcome. Repeat this practice over and over in your potter’s house until this reality takes place in your actual life.
– You never seem to have enough money. What we normally tend to do is continually repeat over and over mental dramas in our imagination that relates to always not having enough money. These thoughts will most assuredly shape a reality that will assimilate situations and circumstances in your life that prove a lack of finances. Instead, go into your Heavenly Imaginarium and construct mental dramas and scenarios in your imagination that assimilate events in your life where you have more than enough money. Continue to do this over and over until you FEEL within yourself that you have already attained your desired outcome. Repeat this practice over and over in your potter’s house until this reality takes place in your actual life.
We must CONTINUE in these efforts until they surface in our actual lives. We will have the backing and support of all of heaven and all of the earth.
All of reality will agree with US!
